Kath’s personal training success story

Kathryn Barker or Cougar Kath as she is has been nicknamed started her journey weighing in at 83 kg. She was overweight not exercising at all, completely unfit and she most certainly did not have a healthy outlook on life. One of the key factors that prompted Kath to consider personal training was that she didn’t have enough energy to keep up with her two young boys.

Kath ate as she pleased not knowing how it was affecting her body. Eating junk food and not knowing how to exercise was really doing damage to Kath’s body and health. She suffered back pain and her lifestyle was gradually deteriorating bit by bit due to her self esteem and self confidence ever diminishing as she continued to gain weight.

Kath now weighs in at a healthy 68 kg and has accomplished many great feats such as 500 kg on the leg press and running the 10km event at the Gold Coast Marathon! Her self-confidence has been fully restored, she has lots more energy as well as significantly toned up sexy body! Kath plans to enter in the Half Marathon next year.

Kath says:

“Something that definitely changed is my size! I loved throwing out all the clothes that were too big for me which was basically my entire wardrobe.”

When asked how she kept so motivated Kath’s response was

“My Personal Trainer has been behind me the whole way.”

Kath has now made exercise part of her lifestyle. She loves the social aspect of Fitness matters and exercises everyday (with a rest day on Sunday). Each week Kath does 2 Personal Training sessions and the advice that Kath wants to share with others is:

“Make the commitment to yourself to get a personal trainer to help you to achieve your goals and surround yourself with positive, motivated and focused people because it helps to keep you focused and on track.”

Damianos’ personal training success story

Hello, my name is Damianos Karousos, I am over weight, 46 years of age and 162 kilos as of July 2008. I am applying for an Australian Visa.

When I went to get my medical on July 2008 and was told I was 40 kilos overweight and had to go see a specialist. July 2009 (MMI) sent me a letter asking me to go see a GP and get an outline of a 5 year weight loss plan.

I did one better and joined a health fitness centre; I figured if Bob and Shawn from the Biggest Loser can do it I can too.
I went to Fitness Matters Yamba NSW and got the information I needed. I then and there set my mind to losing 50 kilos.

Matt signed me up with Ashlee to set up a basic program for me which I followed to the letter. The first week I was in pain, my muscles were screaming but I kept at it, I was determined to lose the 50 kilos. The second week I was given the gift of a life time, a complimentary platinum subscription (thankyou Glen) which came with 3 PT Sessions a week. And was able to weigh myself at 150.7 kilos (I had found a scales that went up to 155 kilos)

I have to say a PT is the way to go, they make exercising fun, YES fun! With the help of Matt and my PT sessions I have gone down a pant and shirt size. I have more energy and can tie my shoes with both hands sitting down with no big belly in the way. My wife can see the changes and loves it. I have changed my eating habits, and trying to eat healthy.

As of Friday 31st of August 2009 I am a light 142.2 kilos. With the help of Matt I will get to my goals and then some.
